This is my entry for Udon Entertainment's Darkstalkers Tribute Fan Art Contest.

Unfortunately, I didn't win again.

This only means I gotta go further on the next contest I'm gonna participate in!

About the artwork:
The idea here is to kinda tell the story of Morrigan merging with her "sister" Lilith (right? Sorry, I never played the games =3= ) using the water reflection idea plus a bit of innuendo. Also, the composition shows Morrigan's side to be large, busy, dominant, even a bit chaotic and/or insane, while Lilith's side is more calm, with the help of negative space, plus the light from the moon to make her seem "nicer" than Morrigan. Lilith being smaller and up-side-down also symbolizes her sort of inferiority, as I believe giving her a flatter chest just isn't enough to carry the message XD

Like all the other contests, this has been another learning experience for me, and a great opportunity for experimentation and applying some new things I learned into practice.

EDIT (3/18/09):
Fixed some line art issues, then slapped a photo of the moon for the background. cheap fix I know, but if it works it works XD

Other things that bug me but I'm likely won't bother fixing anymore include Lilith's nonuniform arm gestures, too much light coming from the moon, proportion issues here and there, etc. This is out of the way now so I should focus on my next artworks.
